This CD-ROM video explains how adults with I/DD are affected by dementia and depicts their functional changes over time. It presents guidelines for early screenings and diagnostic assessments; explains how clinical supports can support persons with dementia and their carers; and recommends program adaptations, environmental modifications, and specialized care that enable individuals to remain in their home for longer periods of time. This 23-minute video was filmed in 2001.
